The Road to Success is not straight: There is a curve called failure, a loop called confusion, speed bumps called friends, caution lights called family, and you will have flats called jobs. But, if you have a spare called determination, an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith, and a driver called God, you will make it to a place called success!

NO ID, NO ENTRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY

I just came from my very exhausting and bunky trip to ORTIGAS. take note on this: the sole purpose of my travel there is to have my contract signed so i can start working on Monday. I still came from santa rosa going to Ortigas (One San Miguel Avenue to be exact---that gargantuan thingamajig above) and YET NOTHING HAPPENED!!! i wasn't allowed to proceed to the building just because i didn't have my ID, even an SSS or an NBI copy!!!! so what did happen after? IIIIIII WEEENNNTTT HOOOOMEEEE!!!!!!!

so next time, always bring those things when your agenda is work related k?

TALKING TO AN INDIAN

It was last week when I had my Market Market Escapade...hmmm not really escapade. I was scheduled for an interview for a sorta accounting slash call center agent slash data processor position. It was around 4:00 when I arrived at the mall so I had to spend some time hanging around until 5:00 which is my scheduled interview. It was five minutes before the judgment hour when I arrived at INFOSYS (it's the company where i'd be having the interview.) The lady asked me if I could wait for another thirty minutes because the client is on HIS way ( so definitely he is a HE ). okay enough of the b#$%@#!t nonsense, as if I have the choice to say NO and I'll still come the hell from Santa Rosa so I just made some chit chat to other applicants. The client came... and to my surprise he is an Indian. Kinda figure it out what would the outcome was if a Filipino would talk to an Indian... We were 4 and yada yada yada... My turn came.

INDIAN: hello my name is aklhdoiyaoiho
ME : hmmm... hi anoom?
INDIAN: no... it's anoioyhkjgkg;
ME : so Anoob?
INDIAN: no, it's ANOOP.
ME : oh, I'm sorry. Nice to meet you Anoop.

********

INDIAN: so adkryaodehlakdgfkdhskdfkjdghkajgdflk;p?
ME : sorry?
INDIAN: so You are a member of an Accounting Organization?
ME : -sigh- ahhh... (and I told him why)
INDIAN:j;faldora';lkdh;glghfhn;lfkgm;lkfng;l?
ME : sorry?
INDIAN: soyoucan'texpectapureaccountingonthisjob.Thisismoreof...let'ssayfinancialaccounting. Ijustwanttosetexpectationsstraight.
ME :(still figuring out what did he say)... ahhh okay... sounds Interesting.(chos!)

********

so the interview ended somehow in a nice way... it was really hard to understand an Indian accent but somehow it was very interesting because it was the first time I talked to a Full Blood Indian (yeah b'cause I had a classmate way back in elementary who was a half Indian... Hi Renzul!). Anyway I still had to decide whether to accept this job or not... I've already wasted money and precious time and going back again for another series of tests is I think too much... Well maybe the job is not for me.

BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY!!!

Ok, doesn't mean i'm gay I can't relate to this wonderful song. Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry in which she wrote together with Toby Gad(huh?) reached the #1 spot on the Billboard hot 100 chart. Fergie was only one of a handful female artists to have 3 songs on their debut album that placed number one on charts just like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera(actually Christina had 4).

I really like this song because Fergie stunned her listeners by sounding different in this song-I mean I thought she would be scruffy but sounding lightly makes her sound more like Christina Aguilera . The song is really full of meaning although it's a bit cheesy.

I think she loves the person very much but time would come that she has to move on. Eventhough it's so hard, she needs to continue and grow up as a person and and she has to have courage to do it hence big girls don't cry.

anyway here's the video and hope you like it the way i do. The lyrics is just beside my blog ....

GOODNESS!!!

I just can't believe what happened yesterday.... my hard kept money in my pocket was slashed just easily because my phone broke!!! What a mayhem! It was a time where money is so tight because i don't have a job. I have an interview tomorrow and somehow I need some for transportation. if only i don't need a phone. mine is a motorola L6 phone which I won a couple of months ago. The repair was so expensive because it was a motorola phone and they say that it has a more complicated program-whatever. I got it repaired at a nearby mall.

good thing I saw this pic. I'm no longer lonely. enjoy!!!!

PART 1

I never thought that life is indeed full of twists and turns. You may think that you're the leadst person in the world but don't fret, opportunity miles at everyone. Just have guts and DON'T GIVE UP!

Last Saturday was a not-so-busy-day in Makati. There aren't so much people and there is no traffc!(Thank you Lord!) Yet, I opted not to ride any vehicle since I was on search of the building where the office I am applying for a post is located. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WALKED ALL THE WAY FROM EDSA UP TO RUFINO!(i just don't know how many kilometers....or I'm just exaggerating) If you just saw me...the longsleeves that I have prepared was drenched with dipperful sweat! People from nearby offices where I happen to pass by stared at me with disbelief!(haha! i can't believe myself either!)

I thought I was going to be late. I don't want to be late...I don't want to make a bad impression from my employer.. but I think I would... At exactly 8:30 (my sched is at 9:00) I arrived at the building. (I arrived early honestly guys... but I got lost... yeah yeah yeah I have my map with me but I really suck at reading maps) The guard noticed me and uttered: "tsk, tsk, tsk...Pawis na pawis ka ah! (tsk...tsk... You're full of sweat!) With that remark, I had chosen to stay at the lobby first to dry myself up before proceeding to the 5th floor which is 30 minutes before the schedule.

==TEST TIME==

"What the h**l is this! what the f***k! I don't know these things! Oh no, I'm not prepared!"

That was exactly how my brain responded from the agony of the items included in the questionnaire. It was broken down into 3 parts: Economics, Foreign Countries, and Law! my co-applicants where from University of the Philippines and from La Salle Manila. I was the only one from a not-so-known school. I was already at the verge of having a nervous breakdown(haha!) where I noticed the indication in which it says that should we find the questions very hard, we shouldn't give a room for panic. BUT HOW CAN I NOT PANIC WHEN THE OTHERS WERE WRITING CONFIDENTLY ON THEIR ANSWER SHEETS WHILE I HAVE SO MANY BLANKS!!!!!!---SOMETIMES!!!----

The questions went like:

What would be the effect on the country if the Central Bank increases interest rates for borrowing?

What is Xiao Peng's legacy to China?

Who is Hugo Chavez of Venezuela?

What is the difference between a mutual fund, a share and a bond? Rank them according to its risk and return for investment.

***NOSEBLEED!!!!!***

==INTERVIEW==

Mr. American (mr. himself) who happens to be the boss started to call us one by on after we submitted our papers. I was strongly eager at that moment to ask the HR personnel and ask her that I would no longer want to continue and just walk away and never show my face. but my animalistic and conscience conspired to urge me not to give up. Either pass or fail, continue the fight until the end-or even until humliation! It was now my turn to be interviewed. I was so nervous and so embarassed since attached with our resume are the test papers. He was perusing each and every answers. Unlike the previous applicants, he just kept reading and reading my resume and looking back at my answers then my resume again. he never talked to me.

at last he talked... he told me that I was the IDEAL PERSON for the job! hahahahaha! of all people! I just found out that I was the only one with a degree of Accountancy in our batch. Mr. American and his firm are moving to a system where a bit of Accounting is needed. How Lucky as in Lucky Me!!!!

==THE AFTERMATH==

**What if I insisted on not continuing? What if I walked out? What if... I GAVE UP???**

That's what I've thought when I was on my way back home.... I realized that the greatest regret that one could suffer is not from failure. It' s on not trying it.... That's the lesson I have learned...NEVER GIVE UP,EVEN IF YOU GET NOSEBLEEDS!

and the saga starts.......

Watch out for my upcoming post....in computers near you!
