This is the first time that I’ll be attending a Christmas Party held not by a school but by the company that I’m working at. The Theme is Vegas so we have to dress very nice. My wave mates and I had a meeting the previous day to meet at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon to arrive early at the event yet it’s already 4:30 and I’m still on the bus, on the way to our meeting place and gosh, I’m not even dressed yet.

The flow is fine, everything’s organized. Like the usual shift we had our employee numbers typed and have our fingers scanned to get inside. There are a lot of impersonators ranging from Madonna to Paris Hilton (name it...) that we can have our pictures taken with. Our friend still has her shift that night and she’s really in a hurry to eat and get back to work. My friend Dianne and I accompanied her inside…and sh*t, this is what we’ve missed.

So the damage is done and since we can’t do anything about it (coz once you’ve entered, you can’t go back to the lobby until the party’s finished---) we just made our night very nice with the food that was served…Mandarin Oriental Hotel Catered the food. The variety ranges from Asian to Western dishes (chinese, japanese, italian, american.. name it! My gosh the cakes!!!!!!) In fairness, all of them are so delicious.. take a look at the proof!

We’re not done giving justice to the food yet when the event officially stared. The night was graced and really fired up by Bamboo (gosh!). Everyone in the crowd was cheering and shouting and that made me leave my food first to watch first especially when bamboo himself showed up in the stage. Haha!

In fairness, hearing bamboo sing live is totally the same listening to CD. He really can sing very nice.. he sang songs ranging from old rivermaya days up to their latest hits. They ended up the gig with the song "Hallelujah".

The program proper started with real Las Vegas touch. with all those gamblers and funny Rio De Janeiro look alike girls graced the production number then Asia Agcoili and Lucky Manzano started to host the event (I wish I could provide photos). as the program progressed we did nothing but to take pics of ourselves. As the saying goes.. Let them do the talking! ahaha!

The party is over but the picture taking is not. Our friend bid farewell because she still will be having classes tomorrow. We've spotted our long missed wave mate sir JM. I really got so glad because after 3 weeks after each of us were endorsed that was the only time that I was able to see him. So we grabbed the opportunity because only time will tell when we'll see each other again....Oh sh*t, it's so cheesy!

We've decided to have some trippings at Malate. We've spotted Aristocrat since it is the nearest...

the night's over and it's borlogz time. We hailed a cab to take us home. We still wanted to visit the Manila zoo but I guess no one will be accommodating us at that very hour except from the rusty gates...

well well well... guess we'll be looking forward to the next Party! This time i'll make sure i'll win the 1M jackpot haha!happy holidays!

I received a very alarming from a very close friend of mine way way back and since I have a blog I guess it's my responsibility as well to syndicate this to bring awareness to those who haven't known this yet. We already knew the recent pull out of some toy merchandise by the US from this particular country in which they outsource manufacture of toys due to the lead content found on each product. Even here in the Philippines the government banned some of the products because the studies show that these products contain formalin, a chemical that we all know is not good for our body. Yet, there is an untold story, a bigger picture... more shocking and terrifying.

THE EMAIL GOES LIKE THIS

Caveat: the enclosed pictures speak a thousand words. Avoid buying all processed food packaged in China . Anything goes! We just don't know what else is in those packages. Unlike in the U.S. , China does not have laws regulating food processing.

On that note: also avoid using disposable chopsticks in the restaurant. Apparently they have been bleached to look white! We certainly don't need bleach in our body.
