The Road to Success is not straight: There is a curve called failure, a loop called confusion, speed bumps called friends, caution lights called family, and you will have flats called jobs. But, if you have a spare called determination, an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith, and a driver called God, you will make it to a place called success!

Christianity 101

I have been in a Christian Religion ever since I was a child but I have to admit that I still commit a lot of mistakes in my life. As what a Christian doctor says, being one does not make you invulnerable or invincible. There would really be times that your faith will be tested just like gold being tried in the fire. Let me put this straight though, I am not justifying the mistakes and failures christians commit nor make excuses to those. I would just like to emphasize that God is merciful and he certainly lends a hand to those who beseech him.

When I was young, my mother used to wake me up very early to dress up to go to church and attend Sunday school. There, We were being taught how to say our prayers, read the Bible, sing praise songs, and memorize our favorite Bible verses. My favorite verse then was the Gospel which is John 3:16. As I grew a bit older and had more understanding, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour.

There came problems, mistakes, and failures. There had been times where you don't know what to do or where to go. I even reached the point of almost giving up. Good thing I have never lost my faith in God. I knew no matter how hard my trials were, I can be strong and overcome everything. As the verse says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Another amazing thing is that God uses people to help us during times of need. I can say that my family, pastors, Christian friends, and my Sunday school teachers contributed to my strength in facing challenges.

Speaking of people, There is a site where you can safely connnect with your friends, family, youth group, pastor, and new people. At LordsMessage.com, experience a wonderful support and encouragement through Christian Chat, blogs, and a whole lot more. Inspire people about your faith by sharing your testimonies. Lastly, stay connected with your church friends, prayer partners, family or home group locally or around the world! Surely God wants nothing but the best for you so grab the opportunity now!

LEGO MANIA

Oh my, oh my.. How I love my childhood days. I might not be as athletic and active as any normal child during that time (Yes, I do not know how to swim nor ride a bike that time--shoot.) but I can say that I am not a total loser because I have lots of cousins and friends whom I can come up with alternative toys and games (those that not require expensive toys, biking and other extremes). Also, my mom made me surrounded with lots of amazing "detachable" blocks to rollick at.

"Detachable" blocks eh? Haha! I am talking about Lego. Thanks to my cousin who enticed me to have one too. He handed me a catalog and it was Outrageous! There are lots of stuff like people and trees and all things that you can think of! I was so intrigued that I persuaded my mom to go to the mall with me to buy one. My first "real" Lego then was a mini castle with a glowing ghost and a knight riding on a horse! I did not become contended with that set so I eventually bought another one, then another one, until I can build my own Lego empire. Haha!

I am now 22 and I can say that my fascination at Lego has never ceased. I still kept on searching for newer models on the internet and I can say that it's more stylish and customized than before.Just imagine a Spongebob or a Harry Potter Model to get what I am saying.I was on the middle of my Lego quest when I chanced upon a site called Shopwiki.com during my search. I became so attracted in it because it showed a wide variety of Lego models. Aside from that, it also listed prices from individual stores for price comparison. I find this very useful because I am very much particular regarding prices.

Lego is just a part of their vast inventory. You can also look for other stuff and I'm sure it will be the most convenient website you'll ever encounter. Here are a few of the other things you can search at:

Accessories
Books, Movies, Music
Clothing
Computer Software

..and a lot lot more!

MY VERY OWN ANIME

It was a time were there are no emails... I am currently working as an email agent in a call center and there were hours that we don't get to download one or there are only a few to answer. Instead of chatting with friends or roam around the production floor, I just honed my spatial skills to kill time using Microsoft Paint.

I finished this within two weeks. hehe...(just kindly click on the image to enlarge.)

BEIJING OLYMPICS

The 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony was held at the Beijing National Stadium or "Bird's Nest". It began at 8:00 PM or 20:00 China Standard Time on the 8th of August 2008. The number 8 is associated with prosperity and confidence in Chinese culture. The ceremony was directed by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou and the event was comprised of 15,000 cast. It was said that it was the most spectacular Opening ceremony at the history of Olympics ever produced.

A rich assembly of ancient Chinese art and culture dominated the ceremony. It opened with the beating of Fou drums for the countdown. Subsequently, a giant scroll was unveiled and became the show's centerpiece. The official song of the 2008 Olympics was performed by Britain's Sarah Brightman and China's Liu Huan, and was titled You and Me.

Former Chinese gymnast Li Ning ignited the cauldron.

The entry parade of the competing athletes was in a different order from previous Olympic ceremonies, because it was not in ordinary alphabetical order of the names of the competing nations but in order (lowest first) of how many strokes are in their Chinese character transcriptions; for example, Australia was near the end because the first character of the Chinese name of Australia has 15 strokes.

Reviews of opening ceremony from around the world called it spectacular and devoid of politics.

The Worlds first Dynamic Architecture-once again DUBAI

As I have promised guys, I will be posting stuff related to technology. This will be my first entry for my Tech Bytes section.

Dubai is really crazy... Haha! I wish I am there to witness their craziness. Dubai creates a multitude of world records. The tallest building, the largest mall, the largest man-made Marina are just one of them. In this post, A milestone in technology and architecture I should say was revealed as a different kind of infrastructure will be erected on the amazing land of Dubai. The tower will be called: "Dynamic Architecture Tower".

The Dynamic Architecture building, which will be constantly in motion changing its shape, will be able to generate electric energy for itself as well as for other buildings. Forty-eight wind turbines fitted between each rotating floors as well as the solar panels positioned on the roof of the building will produce energy from wind and the sunlight, with no risk of pollution. The total energy produced by this inbuilt ‘powerhouse’ every year will be worth approximately seven million dollars.

As average annual power consumption of a family is estimated to be 24,000 kilowatt-hour, each turbine can supply energy for about 50 families. The Dynamic Architecture tower in Dubai will be having 200 apartments and hence four turbines can take care of their energy needs. The surplus clean energy produced by the remaining 44 turbines can light up the neighborhood of the building.

The Dynamic Architecture tower in Dubai will be having 200 apartments and hence four turbines can take care of their energy needs. The surplus clean energy produced by the remaining 44 turbines can light up the neighborhood of the building.

However, taking into consideration that the average wind speed in Dubai is of only 16 km/h the architects may need to double the number of turbines to light up the building to eight. Still there will be 40 free turbines, good enough to supply power for five skyscrapers of the same size.

The horizontal turbines of the Dynamic Architecture building are simply inserted between the floors, practically invisible. They neither need a pole nor a concrete foundation. In addition, they are at zero distance from the consumer, which makes maintenance easier.

The modern design of the building and the carbon fiber special shape of the wings take care of the acoustics issues. Producing that much electric energy without any implication on the aesthetic aspect of the building is a revolutionary step in tapping alternative energy sources. Furthermore, this energy will have a positive impact on the environment and economy.

BYTES AND BITS:

-The Dynamic Architecture Tower will be the first Prefabricated Building. This means that the components of the tower will be built in a factory and then it will be just assembled on the construction site. Imagine yourselves manufacturing a building. (haha!) 90% of the building will be built in a factory and the only thing that will be constructed on the site is the core itself.

-The total cost of the building is 23% cheaper than the normal skyscraper of the same size. Majority of the workers will be based on factories which is safer and only 90 people will work on the said building. It will also be expected to be constructed within 18 months only.

-It is expected to be completed in 2010. The Dynamic Tower will also be called "The Da Vinci Tower".
